Looking for Ian....

I had the best time in Mammoth Cave this summer when we went camping with the Dye family on Cedar Mountain. We took the new trailer and learned how to camp from the experts! (Thanks Ryan and Kim!)
Anyway.....first of all if you haven't read "the HOST" by Stephenie Meyer, shame on you, you're missing out...and you won't get this post about my day in a lava tube!!! It was sooo stinking cool and I wanted to yell, "Wanda, Ian, Uncle Jeb, are you out there??" If you've read the book you know what I am talking about. I know NERD for sure, but it was VERY COOL to see a cave like the one described in the book.
So class, what did we learn from this little story? If Jenny can read Science Fiction and LOVE IT!!!! SO CAN YOU!! Who knew!?!?!? I was skeptical, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. Ray asked me if I would have gone in a pitch black cave with just a flashlight if I hadn't just read the book, I wish I could say yes, but Ah, NO WAY..... Second thing we all learned... reading a good book can get a wimpy dud (ME) to climb through a dark cave, with mud and ice and SHARP rocks with her kids, just to see how it might feel to live in one....;) Read the book if you haven't....

MY BIGGEST BOY!

  • My "big boy" Brett. Every kid seems to have one article of clothing that just makes me smile... this shirt is one of Brett's. It says "little kid, big plans". There was never a truer statement about a sweet boy. You try so hard to keep up with everyone else...
I love you Brett! You are getting bigger every day, and I can't believe you are 2 now! love, mom

MY Laura Lee is a genius!!!

It didn't take 5 years, only about an hour!!! So, maybe in my quest to journal our lives, we will have some pictures to go along with it!

I thought this was an approrpriate picture beacause this little blog will basically be what I see and observe in my life. I loved General Conference this weekend and definitely want to live life with more gratitude and enjoy the journey. My new favorite quote is "COME WHAT MAY, LOVE IT!"...
here's to the future and loving ALL of it, the good the bad and the UGLY! Love,me

Scared to leave the "DARK AGES"

I am taking a leap of faith trying to get with the 21st century....hope it goes well. Maybe in 5 years or so, I will have some pictures on here after I figure out how to get them on here!
